Coaching 2023

 

We are very pleased to announce that TH Tennis will be running a full coaching programme at our club.

​

Toby Huddlestone has been head coach at Almondsbury tennis club for the past 2.5 years and has transformed their coaching programme as well as their social tennis activites. Toby will run both the Almondsbury and OTTC programmes, with the help of two other professional coaches as well as paid teenage helpers.

​

If you have sons or daughters or know of any teenagers who enjoy playing tennis there could be some great opportunities for them.

Toby will be emailing you all to outline details of an open day on Saturday 1st April 2-5pm.

​

Followed by further details of the coaching programme once its been finalised.

​

The committee feels this is a fantastic opportunity to grow the club and offer a lot more than we've been able to do up to now.

We hope you make Toby and his team very welcome and utilise some of his expertise.

Coaching Programme

​

TH TENNIS has set up a new 5 days a week tennis coaching programme for all ages and standards at OTTC. It has been launched so players from 5 years up to adults can come and have a go for FREE. 

We're running the following:

5-8 years MINIS 2-2.45pm & 4-4.45pm

9-16 years JUNIORS 3-3.45pm

14 years - adult CARDIO tennis 2-2.45pm & 4-4.45pm

Floodlights

 

Floodlights are operated by a lights token system in the clubhouse, one token will last approx 60 minutes and costs £3.00. You can obtain these tokens from the local Olveston Stores.

 

Racquet Stringing

 

Toby Huddlestone our local coach offers a racquet stringing service, please email thtenniscoach@gmail.com for more information.

 

Additionally, some of the members get their Racquet stringing done at Giles Brothers at the top of Black Boy Hill on Whiteladies Road, Bristol. They will give you 10% discount if you say you play for OTTC.

 

Clubhouse Facilities

​

Construction of our new clubhouse has been very well received. The official open day was well attended with lots of new faces turning up. We hope to attract new members and families and everyone is most welcome to come and enjoy the new facilities.

 

The clubhouse has a small kitchen, changing room, toilet and relaxation TV area. 

 

The Committee would like to thank all those who have been involved in fundraising, subscribed as life members and gave generously both for their time and money delivering the project.  Our fundraising activities will need to continue to enable our funds to grow for future repair and replacement of the courts.  Please support us in any way you can.
